Make a puzzle that fits your group

Choose the challenge

Easy uses forward rows and columns. Medium adds diagonals. Hard adds backwards words. You can adjust any direction independently. Increase the grid if a long word cannot fit.

Keep a repeatable copy

The same word list, seed, grid size, and directions produce the same puzzle in this version of the maker. Keep those settings together to recreate a worksheet later.

Print with the answers

The PDF includes a clean puzzle on page one and highlighted answers on page two. Choose US Letter or A4 before downloading. Large print works best with a short word list.

One word list, three printable exercises

Choose Create Practice Pack to make a word search, word scramble, and spelling worksheet from the same final words. Edit the list before creating, preview each exercise, and download individual worksheets or a combined pack. Student pages come before the matching answer keys. Longer lists may use extra pages.

Choose words by grade and topic

The reviewed word bank covers Grades 1–6, with General, Nature, Science, Geography, and Holidays collections. Choose 8, 10, or 15 words, then edit them to suit your learners. Grade labels are suggestions rather than official curriculum standards. Spelling Test Mode uses teacher dictation when reviewed clues are unavailable.
